Beards Coffee Bar & Bakery expanded into a compact corner space inside the Downtown Sudbury YMCA. The build included a curved concrete counter as the focal point, along with a feature wall, a built-in bar top with window seating, and food prep surfaces with integrated storage. The layout had to fit the building’s industrial features and small footprint, while staying true to Beards' established neutral tones and natural materials. We worked with the clients to maximize the space. Every piece of equipment was measured, and built-ins were tailored to fit. The curved concrete counter was cast in place using custom forms, and a solid wood bar top created a warm, functional seating area. The back work zone was wrapped in stainless steel, and a partition wall with a pocket door concealed the back room.
